Life changes and our subconscious

 

Making changes to improve our life proves to be a difficult process.  Why, because it takes practice.  Most of us talk about change but do little in the way of achieving it.  It takes practice and more practice.  Think back to hen you learned to drive a car.  Many conscious decisions need to be made in order to accomplish driving.  I need to, put the key into the ignition and turn it to start the car.  I then need to fasten my seatbelt put the car in reverse, next I need to look behind me and to the sides to see if I have a clear route, I then need to step on the gas pedal-not to much just a little, then I need to step on the brake, maybe during that process I needed to turn the steering wheel and then think about what direction do I need to turn it.  You get the picture but with repetition, (in hypnosis we refer to this repetition as compounding) it becomes automatic.  It is stored in your subconscious.  The place where your memories are stored, your autonomic nervous system functions and your dreams come from. 

 

In time all those efforts become a habit, a subconscious habit.  At times negativity creeps in and we develop bad or unproductive habits that keep us from achieving what we want to attain.  Have you ever said to your self, words such as “I’ll always be stuck here” or “things will never change”, “that’s just the way things are.”  So ask yourself, on a conscious level, what do you want to change?  Then

go about that change with practice and more practice until it becomes automatic.  The trick is making the change permanent.  Change can be easy maintaining the change takes repetition, practice.  That, old saying of, “it’s easy to quit smoking, I’ve done it 100 times,” holds true.  Enjoy your life, have fun, get yourself out of a rut.
